Originally built in Canada as an anti-submarine River-class frigate named as HMCS Stormont and started sailing in 1943. She served as a convoy escort during the Battle of the Atlantic and had the presence at the Normandy landings. After the world war II when she became a surplus ship, was purchased by Onassis and late he spent whopping four million on her to convert her into a luxury superyacht and named after his daughter Christina. Christina donated her to Greek government after his demise and became as a presidential yacht, renamed Argo.
