Vanquish Yachts in the Netherlands which are known for their innovative and customized designs have unveiled their new all-aluminium construction sports yacht Vanquish VQ48 in Saint-Tropez and the second model of VQ48 will be unveiled in Ibiza very soon. It has some best features of Vanquish Yachts like the foredeck version of the dinette on VQ50 or the sunbeds on VQ43 in it. She is designed in collaboration with Guido de Groot Design, Studio Delta, and Wester Naval Architecture and has overall Length 14.95mtrs, Beam 4.5 Mtrs, Draft 0.85 Mtrs. It is powered by two engines with an option of 600hp or 715hp each. It can attain a maximum speed of 40+kn, weighs 14 tons having pod drives propulsion. Vanquish Yachts says three orders have already been booked for this striking new VQ48.
Though even the earlier Vanquish boats are stylishly designed, the VQ48’s look & feel is designed clearly keeping in mind sports car lovers. “Thanks in part to Guido de Groot’s previous experience in car design with Citroën, his renowned agency was able to interpret the Vanquish drivers’ boat ideas optimally in this sports boat,” comments Tom Steentjes, managing director of Vanquish Yachts, while describing VQ48. The interior can be fully custom built. With two specially developed helm seats, a large lounge settee, and a cleverly designed convertible top with bimini solution. The amount of plastic usage is kept to a minimum in the interior and most of the components used are hand-made in aluminium adding to the elegance and beauty.
Cooking on the board of VQ48 can be also great fun. The super-efficient galley is developed by famous Swiss TV chef René Schudel. René has used all his expertise as a cook and boat lover into the kitchen equipment and layout. Green Egg Mini barbecue is proposed in the aft section, suspended above the water.
Her very high-end audio system is custom built and can be adapted specifically to the owner’s requirements. This is in a partnership with Brian’s Custom Audio a Dutch company renowned for its audio systems fitted in the latest Ferrari models.
As compared to other Vanquish models, VQ48 stands out for its low weight. This gives terrific manoeuvrability, very fast acceleration, low on fuel consumption and remarkable top speed. Veloce version, offering even more remarkable top speed exceeding 50 knots. Giving the owner a real feel of a sports car on water – a sports boat. Another innovation on VQ48 is a submarine folding anchor system that conceals the chain and winch while at anchor.
