Mazu Yachts are known for their elegance, luxury design, and aggressiveness since 2011. And, the Turkish builder’s new 52HT shares the same distinguished sleekness as the others.
Mazu’s collection of superyachts and cruisers are stylised, and almost impenetrable, which resemble naval vessels. Cruisers will find the boats as good weekend cruisers, which are quite user-friendly and fun.
The new 52HT boasts of a teak foredeck and open cockpit with a hardtop for protection. Furthermore, the boat has a slit over the windshield and open side panels allowing good airflow. The aft section is wide open, and the boat also has a large sun bed over an enclosed space. Apart from which, there are double tables in the central cockpit area, which makes day-cruising pure fun. The belowdecks and the dinette/lounge area are spacious, and the boat is featured with a forward master suite. Cruisers would also enjoy the substantial headroom offered by the mid-section saloon, and the two staterooms aft. The soft Foglizzo leathers across the interiors and the Bianca marble veneers atop a lightweight aluminium substrate in the bathrooms add to the glamour.
The 15.7m long and 4.6m wide boat is said to have a displacement of around 14 tonnes. And, the 52 enjoys a cruising speed of 32 knots, a top end of 37 knots, and is powered by twin Volvo IPS 800 engines (600hp each). The company uses a carbon-fibre construction, which makes the boat light and also strong. And, the joinery in the teak decks and cabin are said to be exceptional.
Halit Yukay, Mazu CEO and lead designer stated that the idea was to develop a 52-footer with the space, performance, and interior comfort, and finish of a much bigger boat. He added that the new addition to the Mazu fleet would represent excellent value in terms of quality and price. With the exceptional features, the new 52HT would make her debut at the 2018 Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Yacht Show.
